The Santa Cruz County Office of Education and all 10 school districts, charter, and privates have partnered with Inspire Diagnostics for COVID-19 Vaccines. Inspire has been administering our COVID-19 surveillance and exposure testing since August and is equipped to provide Pfizer vaccines for students and community members under 18. Inspire Vaccine Clinics will occur at individual school sites and at three drive-through locations. Second dose appointments will fall exactly 21 days after the first dose at the same location. There are other options to book appointments as well.
BOOSTER DOSES: Following FDA approval, booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine are available for 12-17 year olds at our school community clinics. Booster doses of all three vaccine types remain available for all school staff.
Make a vaccine appointment by one of the following methods:
- Booking directly through your pediatrician
- Find a local appointment via the state’s MyTurn Website
- Book appointment at an Inspire Clinic partnering with Santa Cruz COE and a local school site
Steps to get vaccinated with Inspire:
1. Registration and Consent – Required
Prior to booking your appointment you should register and provide consent for your child. This is handled through the Inspire partnership.
2. Make an Appointment – Required
Please schedule appointments for your school district only. All students are welcomed to schedule at one of the drive thru clinics.
If you are making appointments for multiple students, please log out of the appointment scheduling system after making each appointment to avoid any errors. If possible, please use a separate email address for each student.
