Public health guidance permitting, the 2023 Santa Cruz County Spelling Bee will be held on January 28, 2023 at UCSC. Students compete in one of two divisions: Elementary (Grades 4-6) or Junior (Grades 7-9). Each school may send two students per division to the county competition. Each school must provide one proctor for every two students.
