Thank you for joining us last night as we presented our 2021-22 Annual Report to the Community, offering reflections and updates from this past school year as well as a look at our priorities for the year ahead.
Releasing an annual report is a long-standing tradition for the COE as one way we seek to increase transparency and awareness of our work supporting Santa Cruz County’s school community. It offers a broad overview of our office’s work over the past year — but it is far from exhaustive. For those interested in a deeper dive into any facet of our work, each page contains a QR code that will point you toward additional information and supplementary resources. I also want to take this opportunity to once again thank our many partners who empower our work at every level, from the school districts and families to mission-aligned nonprofits and agencies.
The digital report is now available on our website along with a recording of the presentation. Physical copies are available at the COE lobby and by contacting our Communications Department at communications@santacruzcoe.org.
Finally, I want to share that we’ll be hosting an in-person event in January, in both Santa Cruz and Watsonville, to provide further updates on our work and celebrate this incredible school community. Look out for details soon.
Yours in education and equity,
Dr. Faris Sabbah
County Superintendent of Schools
