The Santa Cruz County Office of Education invites students to attend our Designing Mobile Apps TechShop. The event will be held virtually on Wednesday, February 9th, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 pm and is designed for students in fifth through eighth grade.
The TechShop is being hosted in collaboration with TechGirlz, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. The event is also part of a countywide effort to promote computer science.
During the session, students will work in teams to design a mobile app with the support of the team from the Santa Cruz COE. Students will select an app idea, develop a prototype, and then share their idea with the group. Participants will also learn techniques to help them communicate a concept, create prototypes and work within a team!
We encourage anyone interested to join us for this FREE event!
