We are so excited that the MATE-ROV Regional Robotics Competition is almost here! Our Santa Cruz COE and X Academy Robotics teams have been preparing for this event since October. We have two teams competing in the Ranger and Navigator classes, and we couldn’t be more proud of our team members!
They worked hard to decipher the complex technical requirements of the competition and build all the components and parts to meet those requirements. They have made materials using 3-D printers, honed them to spec with laser cutters, wrote complex computer coding, pieced together component parts, and connected it all together with a mini-computer processor to create their underwater Remote Operated Vehicles. We invite you to join us at the Regional Monterey competition on May 4 at Watsonville High School. The excitement starts around 10:30 am, and the awards ceremony will be at 4:30 pm. Hope to see you there!
