AI Explorers: A Community of Practice for Educators

The AI Explorers Community of Practice (CoP) is a year-long, application-based program for 4th–12th grade Santa Cruz County educators interested in integrating AI into their teaching, particularly for writing instruction.

This year’s cohort has been selected through an application process and is now closed to new participants. Cohort members will meet throughout the school year to explore classroom-ready AI tools, develop lesson plans, and share best practices with peers.

Meeting Schedule:

• October 9, 2025 – 4:00–5:30 PM (In Person – Santa Cruz COE)

• November 13, 2025 – 4:00–5:30 PM (Virtual)

• January 29, 2026 – 4:00–5:30 PM (Virtual)

• March 12, 2026 – 4:00–5:30 PM (Virtual)

• May 7, 2026 – 4:00–6:00 PM (In Person – Santa Cruz COE, Showcase Event)
