Racial Equity & Justice Community of Practice

Are you looking for ways to become more equitable in your teaching practices?

The Santa Cruz COE is pleased to offer educators our second Racial Equity and Justice Community of Practice for the 2021-22 school year. The CoP starts September 10 and will meet for eight small group, active-learning sessions over the course of the year.

In this CoP you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Explore your social identities and the various ways they influence the TK-12 educational experience
• Examine the social construction of whiteness and its perpetuation in the TK-12 system
• Acquire the practical tools to make meaningful action around racism in your domain of influence
