Our schools are excited to welcome students and families for a new school year full of wonderful opportunities! The first student day is August 11th.
We just finished a very busy summer school with record attendance. We are gearing up for the new school year and hiring new team members. We are working to improve facilities and recently had the Cypress campus repainted and the floors replaced at Star Community School.
At Sequoia, we are kicking the year off with a community-wide school mural activity. Led by local Watsonville artist and former Alternative Education student, Monica Galvan, students will be designing and painting a beautiful mural at the entrance of the building. Additionally, the culinary program at Sequoia will be expanding to include a garden-to-table concept! Our Culinary Arts program, led by Vrinda Quintero, will be revitalizing the site garden space so that our community kitchen will be full of delicious ingredients sourced from our own backyard. We can’t wait until August 11th!
