The Santa Cruz COE launched its new Computer Science Lending library at our exciting CS Exploratorium for Educators event on Wednesday, February 8. This was the first event of its kind in the county where vendors and educators from all districts and grade levels were invited to test out CS tools and kits.
Guests were able to get hands-on experience and training with BeeBots, Piper Kits and MicroBits, along with the ability to reserve classroom kits from our lending library! Pitsco Education vendors showcased additional kits that we are exploring adding to our library in future, such as SmartBuddies and Drones. Teachers were also invited to sign up for guest lesson visits to help them implement the activities in their specific classroom and curriculum content. We were thrilled with the turnout and enthusiastic participation by our education community, and look forward to another event in the future!
