Educational Services Update – October 2022

The Curriculum and Instruction department has been working hard to support districts with Professional Learning sessions. Our team has been supporting San Lorenzo Valley, Soquel and Live Oak with different sessions, involving Environmental Literacy, Formative Assessments, Support for English Learners and more.

Kevin Drinkard, our math coordinator, hosted a family math night on September 24th that was a big success. It was a fun, math-focused event for families! Families came to enjoy some math thinking with the amazing James Tanton, founder of the Global Math Project.

Amity Sandage, our Environmental Literacy coordinator, is working to create a green COE. She is working with our facilities department to create a composting program, and also to reduce paper use and waste.

College and Career week is coming up soon, and we are supporting districts with resources and activities to promote College and Career Choices.
