Back to School, NOT Back to JUUL Webinar

Vaping Education Event FlyerThe Santa Cruz County Office of Education’s Tobacco Use Prevention Education program is hosting a free and bilingual (English/Spanish) webinar on Thursday, October 21st from 6 – 7 PM. This program is presented in collaboration with Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance, and the Santa Cruz County Tobacco Education Coalition.

This educational partnership is back by popular demand, and is the kickoff of a once-monthly ongoing series on the third Thursday evening (6 – 7 PM) of every month.

“I like that this presentation was informative, casual, conversational, and allowed for an inviting space to share in the chat. I appreciated the convenience of virtual training, too.” – Santa Cruz County Community Educator

The program will cover the basics of e-cigarette (“vaping”) devices, including how to identify if your child is vaping, the health impacts of tobacco use and COVID-19, and how to talk with young people about vaping.

The presentation will conclude with a list of resources for parents and educators as well as a Q+A discussion period. Parents, teachers, and community members are invited to join the presentation via Zoom.
