Student Leadership Group: Facilitating Math Learning
High school students participating in the Student Leadership Group: Facilitating Math Learning will learn and practice leadership and facilitation skills that they will use to support younger students to:
- Challenge themselves with new math problems and puzzles
- Feel safer to share their ideas and strategies with others, and with increased confidence
During this network, participating students will:
- Collaboratively challenge ourselves with fun math problems/puzzles
- Learn and practice strategies to facilitate math-focused learning with other students
- Plan and facilitate a County-wide Mini-Math Festival at the STEAM Expo on Saturday, March 11, 2023
Audience: High School Students in SC County. Hours spent on this project may be eligible for district community hour requirements
