Harvesting Hope: Nourishing Foster Ed and Students in Transition Programs

Our Foster Ed and Students in Transition programs were selected to receive farm boxes from the Homeless Garden Project’s Feed Two Birds program this year.

Every week, our staff visited the farm from June through October to collect ‘shares’ of the harvest, which were then distributed to families caring for students in the foster care system and families experiencing homelessness. This year, we delivered a total of 72 farm boxes to Foster Ed families and older foster youth, as well as 6 farm boxes to Students in Transition families to date.
