Mount Madonna School hosted an inaugural commemoration of International Peace Day on September 21, 2022 for students, faculty and guests. International Day of Peace is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing a worldwide day of non-violence and cease-fire. The theme for this United Nations-sanctioned effort is End Racism, Build Peace.
The event included student speakers, student performers, and guest speakers including Superintendent Faris Sabbah and Rabbi Paula Marcus of Temple Beth El in Aptos.
