Applications are invited from community members for appointment to a seat on the Santa Cruz County Board of Education representing Trustee Area 4, vacated by the resignation of Rose Filicetti effective August 31, 2023.
Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must be:
- 18 years or older,
- A registered voter
- Reside within Trustee Area 4
Application Process
Interested persons are invited to submit the linked application. Please mail it or drop it off at the County Superintendent’s Office, Santa Cruz County Office of Education, 400 Encinal Street, Santa Cruz CA 95060.
Interested applicants are also encouraged to schedule an optional County Board Trustee Orientation with County Superintendent Dr. Faris Sabbah, which can be arranged by contacting the County Superintendent’s Office at (831) 466-5900.
The Application can also be obtained from the Office of the County Superintendent located at 400 Encinal Street, Santa Cruz CA 95060 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All applications must be on file in the Santa Cruz County Office of Education no later than September 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

Once your application is approved
Qualified applicants should plan to be available for an interview by the Santa Cruz County Board of Education during the regularly scheduled board meeting on September 21, 2023.
