The Santa Cruz COE is pleased to announce that Stacey Kyle has been appointed to the Santa Cruz County Board of Education to represent Trustee Area 4.
On September 18, 2025, the Board provisionally appointed Trustee Kyle to fill the seat previously held by Edward Estrada, who resigned from the position in August due to moving out of Trustee Area. She was sworn in the same evening and has assumed all of the duties of a County Board trustee.

She is the founder and past president of the Live Oak Education Foundation, where she served for nearly a decade, and has contributed leadership on multiple school site councils and parent organizations. Professionally, she works as a researcher and grant writer, helping local nonprofits secure millions of dollars in funding to support equity-focused programs serving Santa Cruz County
Kyle expressed her deep commitment to equity and student well-being, noting that her decisions as trustee will always keep children’s best interests at the forefront.
