Math Contest

The 57th Annual County Wide Math Competition

The 57th Annual County Wide Math Contest was Saturday, May 4, at Aptos High School. 

A total of 153 students from grades 5-8, representing 40 teams across Santa Cruz County participated in the event. All students who participated will be honored with an award, while the top three finishers in each category will receive a medal. In total, 63 students will be awarded medals. 

  • These 153 students will receive an award for participation, which will be delivered to their respective schools within the next couple of weeks. 
  • These 63 students received a medal. Medals and places were announced at the Awards Ceremony. For families that were not able to attend – medals and awards will be sent to your students’ schools.

Math Contest Awards Ceremony 

Tuesday, May 14

Santa Cruz County Office of Education (Tech Center), 400 Encinal Street, Santa Cruz

Schedule:

  • Grades 5-6: 5:00-5:35 PM
  • Grades 7-8: 5:45-6:15 PM

 

Families and Teachers are encouraged to attend to celebrate their students’ success!!

Medals will be presented for 

  • Math Team Competition: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each grade-level
  • Math Individual Competition: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each grade-level
 

A special thanks to all the parent and teacher volunteers whose contributions ensured the smooth running of the event!!
