Dental Assisting student Melissa Hernandez was awarded the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) achievement award in October. Melissa received financial assistance from WIOA to complete the 10-month dental assisting program facilitated through the Santa Cruz County Office of Education Career and Adult Learning Services department. Melissa graduated from the dental assisting program in 2024 and now works as a dental assistant in Watsonville.
