Children ages 5 and up are now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine. In partnership with Inspire Diagnostics, we are offering vaccination clinics at schools and other convenient locations beginning Monday, November 8. See santacruzcoe.org/vaccines for registration and scheduling.
COVID-19 vaccination represents a key part of the strategy to reduce the number of positive cases in our community. We are partnering with school districts, Santa Cruz County Public Health, and Inspire Diagnostics to provide access to vaccination for students and families. Please know that participating in this vaccination is completely voluntary. On October 29, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine under an emergency use authorization (EUA) for children ages 5 to 11 years old, followed by CDC and the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup on November 2.
