We’re thrilled to announce the successful launch of the CALS Student Showcase Pilot—an exciting new opportunity for our Career Technical Education (CTE) students to demonstrate the skills, creativity, and professionalism they’ve cultivated throughout their pathway programs.
This pilot event offered students a meaningful platform to present their digital professional portfolios to local industry experts aligned with their CTE fields. During the Showcase, students participated in mock interviews led by community professionals, gaining hands-on experience in interview settings and receiving constructive feedback to strengthen their career readiness.
In addition to practicing interview techniques, students showcased samples of their work, articulated their future education and career goals, and reflected on how their coursework has prepared them for real-world success. The event not only celebrated their achievements but also reinforced the critical connection between education and career development.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated community volunteers who generously donated their time and expertise. Your support played a pivotal role in empowering our students and making this pilot a success.
Looking ahead, we are excited to expand the Student Showcase Interviews to include all CTE classes beginning in the 2025–26 school year. Stay tuned as we continue to elevate student voices and foster meaningful connections between education and industry.
