With August quickly approaching, Career and Adult Learning Services (CALS) has been working on several projects to prepare our students for a successful year within all the programs. Our CAC program is finishing up a successful summer school session, and our adult programs continuing to show strong interest for the Fall, we are seeing encouraging growth.
In addition, to ensure that the Santa Cruz COE is delivering high quality CTE magnet programs, the CALS team successfully applied and was granted UC A-G status for all courses. The ICT program, which is going into its second year, also increased from two sections to four and will also kickoff its first Dual Enrollment course, in partnership with Cabrillo College and Cruzio Internet. Our team is also working on expanding the Cabrillo Career Skills certification, that was piloted in the IT Essentials class, to all our career technical education courses this school year.
