COVID-19 Vaccines & Schools Town Halls

As we prepare for the anticipated expansion of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to 5-11 year olds, we want to invite you to attend upcoming town halls, on October 26 and 28, to hear the latest updates and get your questions answered.

Santa Cruz County’s school districts and the County office of Education are partnering with Inspire Diagnostics to offer vaccine clinics at elementary schools and our three school community testing sites. These plans will be put into action once emergency use authorization is granted by the FDA, which is anticipated by early November. Currently, only students ages 12+ are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination remains encouraged, but not required, for all eligible students.

The COVID-19 Vaccines & Schools Town Halls are virtual events featuring Santa Cruz County superintendents and pediatricians. One town hall will be held in Spanish and one in English. Please ensure you are registering for the town hall in your preferred language. Details and registration information below.
