Poetry Out Loud

Nation-wide Poetry Program

Poetry Out Loud is a nation-wide program, originally created by the National Endowment for the Arts, that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance, culminating at the national finals in Washington D.C. Students compete for awards, scholarships and prizes. County winners compete at the California Poetry Out Loud State Finals in Sacramento on March 10-11, 2019. One student will be selected to compete at the National Finals
