We are thrilled to share some exciting news from the CALS Team as we continue to expand our Career Technical Education (CTE) offerings. In collaboration with CAL FIRE and the California Conservation Corps, we are proud to introduce the newest addition to our adult program lineup – the Wildland Fire Academy.
Designed to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in firefighting, the Wildland Fire Academy is a comprehensive training program that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the challenging field of wildland firefighting.
Upon successful completion of the Wildland Fire Academy, students will not only gain valuable firefighting skills but will also be awarded fire service certifications. Additionally, they will receive a SCCOE/CTE Certificate of Achievement, further enhancing their credentials. Most importantly, graduates will be eligible to apply for positions within the prestigious California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).
