Team Appreciation:
To express our gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the CALS team, a collaborative effort was initiated with Chef McKinzie and Chef Andrea. Together with the CTE culinary students, they baked delightful appreciation treats for every CALS member. This thoughtful gesture not only celebrates the team’s efforts but also underscores the spirit of collaboration that defines CALS.
BTPA Success and Future Prospects:
The Business Technology Pathway Academy (BTPA) has had a bustling semester, marked by a successful cohort at Rountree and ongoing recruitment for the next cohort at 399 Encinal on January 22, 2024. Sean Patrick, a key member of our team, played a pivotal role in the success of the Trades Day event at the Santa Cruz Civic Center in collaboration with Your Future is our Business. Such engagements contribute to the real-world preparation our students receive.
Program-Specific Updates:
Our Dental Program is gearing up for its advisory meeting on December 13, while the Medical Program is diligently preparing students for practicals next semester. These milestones underscore the hands-on and practical approach that defines CALS programs, ensuring our students are well-prepared for their future careers.
Looking Ahead to 2024-2025:
As we bid farewell to 2023, our high school CTE magnet programs are already gearing up for the recruitment process for the 2024-2025 academic year. The focus is on maintaining current sections and exploring the possibility of adding a new ETECH program, showcasing CALS’ commitment to staying at the forefront of career and technical education.
